GITA Wirjawan left some unfinished business after resigning as trade minister two weeks ago. One issue is the confusion over medium-grade rice from Vietnam said to have entered Indonesia illegally.

Gita denied the importation of any medium-grade rice and insists that all imported rice was premium-grade, which is not against any regulations.

In fact, the Customs Directorate General assured that medium-grade rice from Vietnam did arrive via seaport.
