HUNDREDS of historic photos from China on the 1955 Asia-Africa (AA) Conference and diplomatic relations between Indonesia and China are to be exhibited at the same time as the 60-year event is being commemorated. However, with only days to go before the conference begins, the photo exhibition has yet to find a venue. Richard Tan, who is responsible for the event, is left with a massive headache.
Original copies of the pictures and documents were especially brought to Indonesia from the Zhou Enlai and Deng Yingchao Memorial Hall in Tianjin, China, specifically for the AA event in Jakarta and Bandung. Chinese Premier Zhou Enlai China attended the conference in 1955 and Deng Yingchao was his wife.
