The delivery schedule displayed at the Tiki Jalur Nugraha Ekakurir (JNE) announcement board listed the various obstacles over the past week. This logistics company has been unable to ship goods to and from areas affected by the haze from forest fires, such as Jambi, Palangkaraya, Pekanbaru and Pontianak.

As Sultan Taha Syaifuddin Airport has been closed for nearly a month, according to JNE Jambi Branch chief, Edawaty Hui, goods must be shipped by a circuitous route through Palembang. "Deliveries take a day longer than the usual shipping time," said Hui at his office on Thursday last week.
