A Parisian 'Concert' at Sarinah

A series of explosions and gunfire that erupted near the Sarinah Department Store in Jalan M.H. Thamrin, Central Jakarta, last Thursday was the first time terrorists directly opened fire on the public in Indonesia. The terror act, which according to the police was coded 'concert' by the perpetrators, was described as resembling the terror attack in Paris last November 18: it took place at a busy place and guns were shot randomly. Tempo photographer Aditia Noviansyah captured part of the attacks, when the shootout occurred.
