The shareholders' general meeting of state-owned railway company Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) last January had a full agenda. One item was the deliberation over the startup capital needed for the Jakarta-Bandung rapid railway project.
The forum, which has the highest authority over the company, agreed that KAI's share of the capital would be paid for utilizing company land. "That was the outcome of the shareholders' general meeting," Danang Parikesit, a KAI commissioner, said last week.
