AMIEN Sunaryadi was surprised when he surveyed the land site in Olilit village, Southwest Maluku regency. After a visit at the end of last year, the Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities Special Task Force (SKK Migas) director wanted to check on the news of hampered efforts to buy land, which according to plan is to be used as the site of a logistics base for Inpex Masela.
"As it turned out, most of the land was controlled by a local business owner," said Amien to Tempo last Thursday. He made another visit to the location with Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Sudirman Said in early January.
