How Safe Is Our Fast Food?
Two global restaurant franchises in IndonesiaPizza Hut and Marugame Udonare suspected of using expired ingredients in their cuisine. Even though this may not necessarily constitute a health threat, the practice of violating expiration dates is a crime in Indonesia. Tempo and the BBC recently collaborated in investigating these allegations.

A two-page document bearing the logo of the Sriboga Food Group reached Tempo and the BBC in mid-July. Its title was Shelf Life Extension Summary 2015-2016. The document contained a table comprising food ingredients at three food outlets of two international franchises: Pizza Hut, Pizza Hut Delivery (PHD) and Marugame Udon.
