There has been talk to replace Azwar Anas, whose ‘indecent’ photos are in circulation, as Saifullah Yusuf’s running mate in East Java’s gubernatorial election. Mayor Risma has turned down the offer.

When he met with Saifullah Yusuf on New Years Day, Abdullah Azwar Anas did not bring up the circulating photos of a man who looks like himself kissing a woman. One day later, Anas contacted Saifullah via Whatsapp and asked to meet. ¡°He said he wanted to meet in person and explain certain issues, including his withdrawal from the race,¡± said Saifullah last Thursday.
