Four coolies stood around a medium-sized truck parked in the unloading dock at the Cipinang Central Rice Market in East Jakarta on Tuesday last week. They took turns unloading white sacks of rice bearing the logo of the State Logistics Agency (Bulog). Stacks of those bags were then taken into the warehouse area. This rice came from the Bulog Warehouse in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta. The buyers are local rice vendors.
