For two weeks now Herlina has been unable to sell her wares at the Cipulir Market, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta. A vendor of women’s underwear, she has been able only to remove mud from her 18-square-meter kiosk. Patiently, she cleans up the wares she can save. “If they’re still in acceptable condition, I’ll sell them; otherwise I’ll just throw them away,” she said sadly.
