Deforestation by Design in Papua
Deforestation in the commercial management of forest conservation in Papua is marked by numerous violations. This is at odds with the claim of President Joko Widodo at the COP26 in Glasgow regarding the lowest rate of deforestation in the past 20 years.

President Joko Widodo claimed that deforestation in Indonesia is at its lowest point in the past 20 years.
