No Vaccine is Ready
The government relies on vaccines to put a stop to the FMD outbreak infecting ruminant livestock. Preparations are only made after the outbreak worsened.

THE agriculture ministry aims to inject 29.6 million doses of foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) vaccines by the end of this year. As of July, only 755,000 doses of FMD vaccines had arrived in Indonesia.
