It was close to midnight, at a front porch of a shop in a small lane in Legian, Bali. Amidst the debris, scattered glasses and broken furniture, a group of tourists squatted on each sides of the lane. In the center were several hundred lit candles. A distance away, several bouquets of wreaths lined a row of shops, fading, but still emitting a fragrant smell. Several of the tourists were seen hugging each other or leaning on a shoulder, giving or
