ONE by one, the police stopped the vehicles, while the drivers and passengers were asked to step outside. A metal detector was then used to check every inch of the vehicle: the baggage compartment, under the seats and all the bags of the vehicles' occupants. The same metal detector was then used to search for any suspicious items on their persons.
