Approximately 1,000 Islamic school students were sprawled exhausted around the main streets near their boarding school. Some were lost in thought, others were grumbling and complaining. After Friday prayers last week, they had planned a large demonstration to protest the detention of their leader, Abu Bakar Ba’asyir. Also present on the streets were members of Laskar Jundullah, the Surakarta Islamic Youth Forum and Laskar Mujahidin. Th
