Edwin Burgon’s weekend getaway to celebrate his birthday with his wife Nancy and his friends ended in tragedy. The vehicle he was traveling in was forced to a halt at the 62.5-mile mark of the Timika-Tembagapura highway by a group of unidentified persons who fired a barrage of bullets at the vehicle. Leon, an American who was the principal of the International School in Tembagapura, died from the injuries caused by the gunshots.
