Norway Nets Fishery Agreement

Norwegian Fishery Minister Elisabeth Aspaker met with her Indonesian counterpart, Susi Pudjiastuti, on November 24 at a meeting that resulted in the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on sustainable aquaculture.

Susi said demand for fish would continue to grow in line with an increasing population, which would be hard to service with only a capture fishery. "That's why we need to start sustainable aquaculture," she said.
