IN the very near future, the bitter medicine that the government has had to take as part of what it inherited from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will be increased. The door for exports of rattan, open ever since the monetary crisis hit Indonesia, will soon be closed. "Today, the draft will be ready," said Minister for Trade & Industry, Rini M.S. Soewandi, on Friday last week. The ban will be contained in a joint ministe
