Former IBRA head Syafruddin Temenggung has been declared a corruption suspect. He could even end up facing the death penalty.

NEVER in his wildest dreams could Syafruddin Arsyad Temenggung, former Chairman of the Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency (IBRA), have expected that he would be declared a suspect. Nevertheless, whatever anyone has to say about it, this is his status as was determined by the Jakarta High Prosecutors Office (HPO), on Friday two weeks ago, in a case relating to the shares in and debt collection rights of sugar refinery company PT Pabrik Gula Raja
