Letter from the Master
The Far Eastern Economic Review published a letter of reprimand that the IMF reportedly sent to the Indonesian government but the authenticity of the leaked letter is doubtful. The government shouldn’t have responded by simply denouncing it.

The master, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), is angry. So says a widely circulated report. It is frustrated over Indonesia’s tardiness in executing its economic restoration program. So great is its anger, the IMF has again threatened to postpone a loan disbursement scheduled to take place along with discussions of a letter of intent (LoI) early this month.
