Indonesias rating on the Index of Economic Freedom has improved. Indications are now much more open, although still considered unfriendly for investors.

AFTER putting it off for a month, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono eventually delivered his end of year speech at the State Palace in Jakarta. For some two and a half hours, the President appealed for greater reductions in terms of investment bureaucracy.
