RIO Tinto is currently blossoming in the mining industry. The company that up until now has been industrious at grabbing up other business groups has now itself become a target. During the last month, there have even been two companies trying to acquire Rio Tinto.

The first offer came from BHP Billiton. At the beginning of last month, the largest mining company in the world offered a price of US$133.7 billion, or around Rp1,256.8 trillion, for
