From Soybean to Dough
STILL ringing in our ears the cries of tofu and tempe (soybean cake) vendors about the expensive soybean price, now we hear that bread and noodle vendors are in danger of going bankrupt. Last week's flour price in Tangerang, for example, rocketed from Rp135,000 to Rp164,000 per 25 kilos.
Not only flour, prices of other ingredients for bread also are also following suit. The price of butter per 15 kilos has gone up to Rp135,00
