THE debris of the former office complex on Jalan Mardika, Ambon, seems to illustrate the fate of the Djajanti Group. On that spot used to be the offices of PT Daya Guna Samudera. The fishing company used to be the largest in Indonesia and was one of the "gold mines" of the conglomeration owned by father and son, Burhan Uray-Soedjono Varinata.
