THE end of last week should have been an important and rare moment for Boediono. The Governor of Bank Indonesia was scheduled to meet with Ben S. Bernanke, Governor of the US central bank, to discuss the global financial crisis. The meeting would have been part of a series of programs at the Group of 20 Summit of Industrialized Nations (G-20) in Washington, DC, November 15-16. President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono was also invited to the forum.
