Bakrie Loses Rp16 trillion

DESPITE its sharp income increase, PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk recorded a huge loss last year. The company’s net income in 2008 rose by almost 60 percent to Rp8.41 trillion. But its loss was also tremendous: Rp16.62 trillion. In fact, in 2007 this firm earned a net profit worth Rp223.36 billion.
