THE global financial crisis has battered many financial institutions, including insurance companies. Despite the battering, the Indonesian economy managed to grow 4.4 percent in the first quarter of this year, a bit lower than 5.2 percent in the previous quarter. The Indonesian insurance industry is confident of performing equally well in 2009.
