Hot-wiring the Growth Machine

The legislative and presidential elections triggered economic growth of 1.08 percent during the first half of 2009. However, election fever is now over. The government faces a strong challenge in reaching the target of economic growth between 4 and 5.5 percent and will only be successful if it is able to handle general public consumption.
