2010 STATE BUDGET
Growth Target Revised

THE government and the Finance & Banking Commission of the House of Representatives agreed to revise the assumption of economic growth for 2010 to become 5.5 percent from only 5 percent previously. Consequently, the government is allowed to expand the budget deficit by over 1.6 percent of gross domestic product. “It’s to make next year’s economy more expansive,” said commission chairman Ahmad Hafiz
