PLANS to purchase MA-60 airplanes made by Xi'an Aircraft Industry Co Ltd are entering a new chapter. Amid tug-of-war discussions on continuing loans between Merpati Nusantara Airlines and the Department of Finance, Aceh Governor Irwandi Yusuf sent a letter to the Office of the Coordinating Minister for the Economy. He is requesting the 15 airplanes made in China, and their flight simulators, be taken over and operated by the Aceh regional governme
