Closed to Foreign Investment
Under a revised regulation no foreign investment will be allowed in the construction of new telecommunications towers in Indonesia.

THE debate which had been going on since early this month ended on Friday last week. Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Chairman Gita Wirjawan failed in his effort to let foreign investors take part in the construction of new telecommunication towers in Indonesia. The government agreed with Communication & Information Minister Tifatul Sembiring to close telecom towers to foreign investment under a revised negative list of investment (DNI).
