THE three-story white, red and green building looks different from the other buildings on Simen Street, Chiayi City, South Taiwan. A red wooden sign hangs in front of the 200-square-meter building, with “Toko Wiwi” written on it. It is a minimart owned by a Taiwanese married to an Indonesian.
The house-cum-sundry store sells various Indonesian products. From light snacks, Indomie and Mie Sedaap noodles, to Rinso, Wings and other detergents.
