At present, Indonesia is being subjected to all sorts of conditions because she has had to borrow from the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Although her status is not a colonized country, in its efforts to have the amendment on the Law on Bank Indonesia adopted, the government of Indonesia must accommodate the IMF's wishes.
