FOR nearly three hours Anne Kathtrin and Viona relaxed by the beach of Tanjung Aan, on the south side of Lombok Island, West Nusa Tenggara. For the past two weeks the tourists from Frankfurt and Nuernberg, Germany, enjoyed the new beach with its soft white sand. Normally tourists from abroad come to Lombok through Pantai Senggigi or Gili Trawangan. "Attractive, not as crowded as Bali," Kathtrin told Tempo two weeks ago.
