Kernel's Tracks in Pertamina
Some say that Pertamina's tender practices are just as bad as those of the SKK Migas, whose chief has been the focus of a bribery scandal. Pertamina too has dealt with Kernel Oil, which paid the kickback.

The Rudi Rubiandini bribery case has had far-reaching effects. One is that the Upstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Special Task Force (SKK Migas), of which Rudi was head, seems it will lose its responsibility for organizing tenders for selling the state's share of its crude oil. "That will be handed over to Pertamina," Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Jero Wacik said on Wednesday last week.
