Capital Injection for Bank Mutiara

Bank Mutiara has received an injection of capital worth Rp300 billion from its new owner, J Trust, a Japanese investment company. Mutiara Corporate Secretary Hartono Karyatin said the funds would go toward strengthening capital structure and business development. "We're issuing new shares without the security preorder mechanism," he said last week.

According to Hartono, the new shares total 30 trillion units at the price of Rp0.01 per unit. This corporate action will increase Mutiara's cash from Rp311.5 billion to Rp611.5 billion. Its assets will grow from Rp12.6 trillion to Rp12.9 trillion and its capital from Rp1.1 trillion previously to Rp1.4 trillion.
