Medco's New Target

Former Trade Minister Muhammad Lutfi was all smiles after his meeting with President Joko Widodo. To reporters waiting at the Presidential Palace, Lutfi simply said, "We're not allowed to talk about it now. It will be announced officially on Thursday."

Lutfi had arrived with Arifin and Hilmi Panigoro, two brothers with a long track record in the oil and gas industry. Arriving before noon, the trio headed straight to see the President, who was with Cabinet Secretary Pramono Agung. Their closed-door meeting lasted an hour.
