THE 2016 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) set for August is likely to be an important event for truck manufacturers. This year, not only will it showcase the latest in conventional models, it will also shine a light on a new trend-makes that can be converted into food trucks.

"We are providing two locations with 40 food trucks for visitors," 2016 GIIAS organizers' chairman Rizwan Alamsjah told Tempo in early June. The food truck area will be laid out so visitors can rest and enjoy the food while attending the show.
