DURING the busy haj season in August, the Garuda Indonesia board of directors were invited to a meeting with Finance Minister Sri Mulyani. Sri asked Garuda Indonesia CEO Pahala Mansury to present the company’s financial performance.

The meeting, said Dedi Syarif, Separate State Treasury Director of the Finance Ministry Directorate-General of State Treasury, was done to address concerns regarding the state-owned airline’s financial report. In
