Still Rich and a Long Way from Jail

Although saddled with debts, big-fish businessmen are still having a good time enjoying their riches. Those now living overseas can still scoop up profits from their companies operating in Indonesia even though these have been handed over as surety to IBRA. And Kwik Kian Gie was right; they really don't want to repay their debts.

BIG-FISH businessmen who used to own banks are probably following the heated debate over the Shareholder Liability Settlement (PKPS) agreements very carefully. They might even be a little worried as they wait for the government to make a decision. But on the other hand, maybe they just don't care and are living their lives as usual: quietly but full of extravagance.

What's for sure is that the debate over the PKPS agreements has certainly heated
