When it comes to the oil and gas business, the world is dominated by seven giant companies and their affiliates; they compete against each other and are commonly referred to as the Seven Sisters. Three of them, BP-Amoco Plc, Shell and ExxonMobil, who are the majority shareholders in each of its operational region, are competing for the Guangdong gas project valued at US$10 billion.
