Suspended by Slow Smelter
The government will prohibit bauxite export starting June 11. Export bans will also be imposed on other raw minerals including tin and copper.

AFTER months of delays, the Mempawah Smelter Grade Alumina Refinery (SGAR) project in West Kalimantan finally resumes. The bauxite-to-alumina processing facility owned by Borneo Alumina Indonesia will likely be completed and operational in the third quarter of 2024, a year behind from the original target of July this year.
