A FIRE at the nickel smelter processing plant, or nickel smelter, belonging to Indonesia Tsingshan Stainless Steel (ITSS) claimed many victims. About 59 employees became casualties, 19 died due to burns and difficulty breathing. One survivor, Fatriansyah, an officer who directly witnessed the event, is currently undergoing treatment.
