Karaha Bodas, like many expensive government projects, is rife with shady dealings and is manipulated by a group of greedy government officials and businessmen. The individuals involved in the Karaha Bodas project are allegedly guilty of deliberate intent to inflate costs, professional misconduct, carelessness and imprudence in the selection of an arbiter. As always, the people of Indonesia get stuck with the bill in the end.
