POLICY-MAKERS at Indonesias Ministry of Finance in Jakarta now appear to be filled with a great deal of self-confidence. At least this is the signal given by the governments assumptions as regards the draft 2003 State Budget (RAPBN). The assumptions are that next year economic growth will be between 4.5 percent and 6 percent, and inflation between 7 percent and 9 percent.
