Jakarta teachers are being sent out to educate street children. Beneath trees and in security posts, they're schooling the neglected.

THE streets of the capital are what 8-year-old Masinah calls home. While many thousands of kids her age attend morn-ing school, she's out on Jakarta's thor-oughfares trying to scrape together a living.
