Without a license from the government, a Central Java university has opened a medical school, training tomorrow's doctors in its own way.

FAUZI NUGROHO registered with General Soedirman University's School of Medicine last week. The high school graduate prefers the tranquil surroundings in Purwokerto to his native city. "It's cheaper and more peaceful here than in Jakarta."
