IT was late night on the edge of the Muarjojambi forest, Jambi province. Six residents of Gedongkarya village (Kumpehilir subdistrict, Muarojambi) were huddled together in a lookout hut built in a tree 3 meters above the ground. Their mission was to prevent tigers from invading the village.
