TORIQ Hadad passed in the early hours of Saturday, May 8. After finishing my early morning meal in preparation of fasting for the next 12 hours, I saw my cell phone had an unanswered message from his number. I called back. At the other end, I heard his wife’s voice and she sobbed. After getting the news of him going to hospital a week prior, that dawn I knew I had lost a close friend.
