FIVE hours after the ballot boxes were opened, Fauzi Bowo announced his victory in the Jakarta regional heads election (pilkada) which took place Wednesday last week. “I thank you, the Jakarta residents, who have given me your trust,” declared Fauzi who was Deputy Governor of Jakarta before the election.
